Often times when we are on the look-out for a new job, someone to help us plan a wedding or even fix our computer we take to the web to locate people we don't know to help us get what we need. In this economy everyone is looking for a come-up, a side gig, a lil extra money on the side, or a way to build their business.
The first thing you should do is make a list of the people you know and include on that list what it is they do and their contact information. You will be surprised and how the list grows and the different skills, talent and abilities you have within your own personal network of people.
Why not hire someone you know to do the job you are looking for. I can rattle off in about 30 seconds someone I know that does graphic design, websites, event planning, weddings, insurance and so much more. Using people you know means you can trust you will get what you need, you can help them to grow their client portfolio and they can help you do the same for your personal brand.
By referring people you know they are more likely refer you and this will create a cycle and a growth in your personal network. This will help you and those around you to build a solid network and establish repeat clientele.
For example: "Your company has an opening, shop it around to your friends and acquaintances first." Someone you know may be looking for employment or may know someone who is qualified for the position. You never know who you may benefit. This lends true to thee old adage, "It's not what you know but WHO you know."
So let us know who you are and what you do. This way I can add you to my list and refer you when the time arises.... We can also feature you and/or your company and help to send traffic to your website, facebook page or inbox.
