Next Friday is the much anticipated (by me at least) release of "Takers". I have been waiting to see this flick for at least seven months now. August 27th this movie opens in theaters all across the country.
Humm, why so much anticipation?

Well Mr. Ne-yo has done it again. Champagne Life is on constant repeat and I am loving it... I was a little skeptical when he release Beautiful Monster. My first thought when hearing that track was "is Ne-yo doing club music now?" I am sorry to be so hard on Ne-yo but he always brings the heat so I expect nothing but the best from him.
His new album Libra Scale is set to be released soon (September 21st) and I am sure it is going to be just as much a banger as all his other projects.

So you know that fall is fast approaching and right behind it is the dreaded season of winter. As always we like to share our opinion on what the trends should be!
The “hautest” items for warmth this fall are double the pleasure, (double breasted that is), all of which will depend on your sense of fashion and style. This seasons coats are not only chic and up to the minute in fashion, they come in an array of lengths, textures and colors with the most tantalizing (never grow old) design detail borrowed from the military by creating coats that are light weight and move with you (hence the take charge look of the coats) feel with the double breast, which are figure faltering to those of us who may have a little bit more to command.
I have never been what you would call a coat wearer. During the fall and winter season I prefer to dress in layers for warmth, rather than wear a coat. To me coats can be restricting and depending on where you are they can restrict movement and be uncomfortable.
The new latest styles are made seem to give style as well as warmth and comfort. The materials are lighter and the styles are much more fashionable than in past seasons. I found a few styles that I really like. Don’t let the price deter you; the point it in having variety, is it gives you the ability to find the style and price that suites your taste and budge.
Instyle magazine, which I love to read, especially for the fashions has given a list of styles, colors and prices for the ‘hautest” coasts this season. Take a look at some of the styles that I like the best.
One of the things you will notice is that these coats may be a little pricey for some of us, but the key is to shop around to find a less expensive version; NY&Co., Burlington, Macy’s and JCPenny’s are great places to start. My picks are just to give you an idea of what the latest and “hautest” styles are for the fall.

One thing you will learn about me is that when it comes to shoes, Nine West can never go wrong (if they do it is very rare). They have me spoiled "Rotten" with their styles and colors. No matter what the occasion I can always find the shoes that I need at Nine West.
Anyway, I found this lovely pair on sale at www.zappos.com and love them. I must say that I prefer the tan color but brown is screaming my name since it is on sale. Anyway this can be considered a deal of the day because these and many other Nine West (and other brand shoes) are on sale now.
So check them out and Happy shopping!
At the start of the summer I talked about wanted to take it back and get some bambo earrings. Well I have found the ones I want and don't have to break the bank. These are exactly like the ones I had back in the 80's, early 90's. When I got to high-school I could finally buy my own with my name in the middle!
Ah, this reminds me of the good-ole days!!! Ladies take a gander, you may find something you like at this site too. www.girlprops.com
I have been on the lookout for some fun fall fashions to share with you all. Here are a few that I found from Dots. Let me just say that I am all about being fashionable as longa s it does not break the bank. The right combination of clothing, shoes and accessories can really turn a lack luster outfit into something eye catching. So check out these combinations and tell me which one you like best!
Guys, I am jones-en for these haute blue heels that I found. These are my must-haves at the moment in preparation for my arrival next month in the Big Apple (home). I am not normally fond of blue and do not have much of it in my closet but when I saw these shoes I knew they were worth me building an outfit around them. Somestimes I am just in the mood to make a statement and these would definately do just that.
For the ladies that are avid blue lovers here are a few other blue pics that I have found just for you! This time it may be ok to let the blues get you!

Until next time!
Yours Truely,
My closet is about to be home to one of my best purchases yet. The Marilyn Convertible Dress is a dress for any occasion. I just happened to be browsing the plus sized net and found this dress that could be converted into numerous styles. Imagine having one dress that you can wear to every occasion and still have people saying "Wow".
With just a little manipulation you can have 20 different dresses only taking up a little hanger space in your closet. Now my only decision is where to get it from, I can get it from this place for $89.99, or I can splurge on Monif C for $195. To me they look exactly the same so I may just take the first route for now, even though I advise you all to check out the other dresses in Monif C's collection, she has some hautness.
You may be wondering why you even need to own a little black dress? Its simple, diversity. Owning a nice fitting, polished black dress can save you time, money, and closet space. Instead of always having to step out and shop for something new for each church event, business function or glamorous evening you plan to attend you can just spice up this one essential piece with little effort.
Accessories are the key to making it work. The right shoes, handbag, scarf, broach or jewelry can change the appearance of even the simplest of things to something eye catching. You can use accessories to make your black dress the focal point of your outfit or you can choose accessories that demand all the attention for themselves. Any way you go, you can not go wrong with owning a black dress, even if it is just for the knowledge that black makes every ones curves look good.
So on your next shopping adventure consider adding a black dress to your closet, you will not regret it.
The Little Black Dress is Essential!
The ladies her at soulae like an even mix, a lil of the old skool mixed with a lil of the new skool. Lay it Down, the latest release from Al Green is a mix of the old and the new. Don't expect to hear Lil Wayne, Drake or T.I. featured in the album, but you can expect the same ole Al Green with some new material and a slightly new sound.
A favorite of mine is Stay with me (By the sea) featuring Mr. John Lgend. It is a nice smooth track that reminds me of the Al Green we all know and love from the 70's, that music that Mom and Dad used to slow dance to. Also featured on the Album are Corrine Bailey Rae a soulea favorite as well as Anthony Hamilton (waiting on his new relase by the way).
So if you are looking for something to mellow you out take a listen to this CD and hey, you may want to download or dig out of the crates some of that classic Al. Also, check out BLACKsummers' night by Maxwell.
The Prince of soul has done it again! Back after a long hiatus from music Maxwell brings us BLACKsummers' night. I must say that this CD is like a breath of fresh air. with tracks like Bad Habit, Cold and the first single Pretty Wings, Maxwell is showcasing his soulful, sultry voice once again.
I must say, I am not even missing his locs, doned in the early part of the new millennium. Maxwell the sex symbol is still running the show and I think this time off was much needed. Make sure that when you step out to get the album that you get the two disc CD. You will not regret the money you spend on this one. Not only is this CD for the ladies but the fellas can mellow out to it as well. This is some of the music that my folks called "Baby Making Music".
So what are the soulae favs? Cold is top on the list, with Bad Habit in close second and Love You coming in third. But hey, we are not the experts, share with us your favs on the new Maxwell album, we would love to hear them. If you have not heard the album, subscribe to soulae.net for a chance to win.
Two ladies seeing how far we can walk in our stilettos.
